Visitors to Pakistan must obtain to enter Pakistan. Pakistan offers various types of visas, with some visitors eligible for visas on arrival. Pakistan also offers electronic visas.
Visa-free entry
Nationals of the following countries holding an ordinary passport do not require a visa for Pakistan.
- Maldives (stay up to 3 months)
- Nepal (stay up to 1 month)
- Samoa (stay up to 1 month)
- Tonga
- Trinidad and Tobago
Nationals of the following countries are eligible for a visa on arrival in Pakistan for tourism purposes provided they possess an ETA (electronic travel authorisation)

Business visa on arrival
Nationals visiting Pakistan for business purposes may obtain a visa on arrival for a stay of up to 30 days. They must provide at least one document from the following:
- recommendation letter from the Chamber of Commerce & Industries
- an invitation letter from a company/association
- recommendation letter by Investor Consular of Board of Investment
Online Visa
Nationals of all countries except Armenia, India, Israel, and Somalia can apply for an online visa.
